WTFHTT?R011- WAKING UP HURTS - Collection TAPE $5ppd. US / $6ppd. World Finally, this long overdue release is out. This takes the "serious" tracks off of the very limited demo CDr (only about 50 made), and also has 3 TEMPER T AND THE WARCATS songs (one that only appeared on a comp) that Nick did with a friend and former band mate, Tony Keaton. This also has an intro that was never released that Nick put on a mix for me before the demo was finished. This is a release I can say that I'm most proud of. A lot of work and time went into this and I'm sure Nick would have been happy with it. WAKING UP HURTS is layers of guitars, voices, violins, samples & more. It is haunting and goregous music and now it finally has gotten a proper release. Pressing Info: Only 150 of these exist. All are on protapes with a screen printed, double-sided J card. They come with a full color booklet with writing and photos that is housed in a thick cardboard, double-sided, screen printed cover. All of this comes in a cloth satchel with has a two color screen print on both sides. (WAKING UP HURTS is Nick from EVIL EXISTENCE delivering hauntingly beautiful music. Pained vocals are screamed and sung over layers of guitars and violins. The music is intricate and the lyrics are mean. The best description i can think of is if GOD SPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR wrote more involved songs and played soley accoustic. Beautiful guitars, beautiful violins, beautiful vocals. This is so full and powerful sounding, it's hard to believe its only one guy. There are a few copies of his demo floating around, but it was rushed, and you can tell. WTFHTT?R010- PANZRAM - Demo TAPE/CDr SOLD OUT ---See link below for download PANZRAM offers up 6 tracks of a noisey, slightly off kilter brand of hardcore. We recorded it in one day up in Tampa at the in-famous, Lady Godiva's Operations with the sly fox, Carson Cox working the dials. We have no website, but there is a far better biography/description, our entire demo for download as well as newer releases and updates at John's blog: HUMAN CRUSH RECORDINGS Pressing Info: 200 pro tapes and approx. 50 CDrs exist. The tapes come with a photocopied jacket with a glued and stapled booklet that has lyrics, some explanations and info. The CDr's come in a folded and sewn photocopied, cardstock cover with a slightly altered lyric sheet and screen printed cd faces. It is a split release with Human Crush Recordings.   (PANZRAM is made up of John and Joe who both play in MERKIT. When MERKIT became a less active, the two of us decided to start something new. This band, unlike MERKIT, was formed out of the ugliness both of us were feeling and is a bit darker and more unhappy than MERKIT, or any of our previous bands. John and I both play different instruments than neither of us completely feel at home with and I think that lends itself well the the noisey, slightly off kilter brand of hardcore that we play. WTFHTT?R009- BUCKSHOT FACELIFT - Demo 7" $4PPD. When MERKIT played with these guys on our first tour we were blown away by these fucking guys. They just looked like normal dudes, and we didn't know what to expect. Then when they starting playing, they made our heads explode with some of the sickest, most interesting (but NOT tech) grindcore we've ever heard. After the show we hung out a little and then immediately put on the demo that they were handing out. The recording fits and captures the music perfectly. It's weird, off-putting and disgusting! On our second tour we played with them again and were even more destroyed by the shit they unleashed. We listened to that demo for at least 6 months straight and decided that this NEEDED to be put to vinyl. This record to me is exactly what grindcore/hardcore should be: Angry, disgusted and gross. If you are into grind but hate straight blast beats, then this is for you. Pressing Info: There are 500 of these motherfuckers. All on Black vinyl. WTFHTT?R008- MAYBE WE SHOULD'VE JUST STAYED IN FLORIDA - compilation TAPE SOLD OUT I've wanted to do something like this for years. And since the story about Naples HC/Punk in Seven Inches To Freedom #2, I've gotten a request or two for tapes of some of the bands mentioned. In the written history i tried to be objective, but fair, by talking about bands that made some impact on the scene, whether i liked them or not. But on this tape i picked, in my opinion, the best Naples had to offer. I'm super excited to finally document a piece of history in Florida HC/PUNK. The bands are: THE ADVERSARIES, SHORT ORDER, CODE BLUE, THE ASTHMATICS, EVIL EXISTENCE and THE WATER RAT EXPERIMENT. WTFHTT?R007- MERKIT- s/t 7" SOLD OUT. Fuck Yeah! Here are 6 more songs of Merkit's mean-ass-mish-mash of d-beat, blast beasts and hardcore. The packaging is a killer 3 color print that we did ourselves all of recycled paper recovered from the trash. The insert has lyrics, explanations and other assorted writings. Holy shit is this shit pissed. Pressing Info: 500 of these sucker made with a 3 color screenprint that you know we did ourselves! (MERKIT was a 4 man outfit that played mean HC/punk that isnt affraid of blast beats. The music is heavy, dark and mixes fast grindy parts, slower even sludgy breakdowns and realizes the importance of solid fast parts...whatever the fuck that means. Members switched up instruments and vocal duties, and all members shared song writing duties, so you never know what you're going to get. WTFHTT?R006- MERKIT- DEMO SOLD OUT. Merkit play mean, dark and fast hardcore. think Left For Dead mixed with Spazz with a lot of distorted bass and nastiness. All members of the band write the music so there are a ton of different influences. 6 songs complete with lyrics and explanations and a ton of samples. This shit rules. WTFHTT?R005- JIYUNA- THE DEVIL IS WAITING IN THE PALACE…RUSH COURAGEOUSLY TAPE-SOLD OUT/CD-$3PPD/LP-$5PPD. - Available from IFB Records (see link below) 10 songs of passionate hardcore. This release is full of driving guitar parts, intricate drumming, amazing bass lines, weird song structures. It's vocally more diverse with all members of the band offering their voice and lyrics. The lyrics are personal and political and touch on a broad variety of topics. And this all comes in a beautiful wooden case. The title of the album comes from an old Nintendo game called Legendary Wings. A lot of time, work and love went into this and we wouldn't want it any other way. For MP3's go to theIFBRecords website and click on Sounds. Pressing Info: This was a huge under taking. There are 500 LP's, 1000 CD's and 100 TAPES. The tapes has a wooden case with a screenprinted cloth cover and a bunch of stamps all over it. The LP's have a screen printed cover with the leaves colored in (some by us and some by Nevin's 6th grade students). The Cd's have a 2 color, 3 sides screen print and the tops of the buildings are die cut so that the CD, which looks like the moon, shows through. (JIYUNA were around for a number of years and have been quietly gaining respect. They play sincere, complex emotional hardcore. They have a demo, split 7" and two full lengths under their belt which takes the classic florida hc sound and manipulates it something very different. And now with their 3rd full length out, with a new line up, their sound has progressed even more. This could be compaired to RAEIN or ENVY with some driving parts, some heavy parts, some technical parts and a whole bunch of weird time signatures. WTFHTT?R004- EVIL EXISTENCE - 8 Song Demo SOLD OUT 8 tracks that are diverse as hell. A little bit of grind, melody and thrash are mixed into this metallic brand of hc/punk. It. comes in 100% dumpster approved packaging including lyrics that are very hard to read. Pressing Info: This was released as a tape and then a CDr. The tapes came in a slip case (like a cassette single) that were excruitiating to make, and the CDr's came in a plastic sleeve with a screened cardboard jacket. I have no idea how many tapes were made. 128 CDs were pressed (the first 28 CDs had spray paint on the CD, the other 100 had a silk screened EE logo on them).   (EVIL EXISTENCE were a diverse hc/crust band from Naples. They started off under the name PROPOSITION OF CHANGE playing political punk that was heavily influenced by THE PIST, DESTROY, CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE, and the like. After a while, and a line up change, the music then progressed and mixed bits of crust, metal, grind, punk and everything in between. The music was sometimes fun and other times moody and emotional. WTFHTT?R003- EVIL EXISTENCE - Armies of Ignorance SOLD OUT. 14 tracks and a quick tribute to the short lived band, The Drunken Masters recorded in the summers of 2000 & 2001, in a studio, with the old line up. This is a part of Naples, FL's punk rock history from back when days were packed with sitting outside 7-11 asking for change. This has the same songs as the cd, but has a new and improved layout, now including lyrics. "East Naples Poor Core" at it's best. Pressing Info: About 50 - 100 were released of this. We releaed this because we had nothing recorded with the new line up...and because I was itching to put out another release.

WTFHTT?R002 - LEFTOVER CRACK- Live in Naples 4.13.02 SOLD OUT. Yes, we put this out. Nick recorded when they played in Naples and said he talked to the band about putting it out - who knows if he actually did. I'm not sure if he ever sent them copies. This has 12 songs by Choking Victim/Leftover Crack, that sound pretty damn good, not to mention 1 awesome yet to be recorded (at the time of this show) song. WTFHTT?R001- BURN YOUR SCENE TO THE GROUND..AND START SOMETHING NEW comp. SOLD OUT. This mix tape contains 10 bands from all over the world, 15 songs, and countless ideas. It comes with a 12 page booklet that includes lyrics, information, websites, and address' for all the bands, as well as some ways to get more invovled. It was a project that came about to get my local scene started again. And it is 100% FREE. Pressing Info: There were about 100 of these(???) all dubbed on "recycled" tapes.

EVIL EXISTENCE - Summer '04 CDr SOLD OUT This is the final EE release. These 2(and 1/2) songs are, in my biased opinion, lyrically and musically their best. They are moody, dark and just fucking kill! Lyrically, both songs are bleak and straight up dissapointed with life and humanity in general. The first song is crushingly heavy, while the 2nd is urgent and frantic. The recording on this is pretty bad, but the emotion easily shows through. It's packaged in a manilla envelope with glued on covers and has a lyric sheet and sticker. This still is and will always be one of my favorite releases. Pressing Info: There are about 80 of these printed with a few different color covers.

WAKING UP HURTS - demo CDr SOLD OUT Here are 12 killer songs from Nick, of EE fame. This is a mixture of Nick haunting style of song writing along with some instumental stuff, some collaborations with friends and even some funny shit thrown in too. Unfortunetly, this released was prettyrushed and doesn't do the music justice. WAKING UP HURTS sounds like if GOD SPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR played structured songs...and that is even a stretch.This is a totally original mixture of guitars, violins, and vocals...and it's all played by one person. Pressing Info: 25-50 of these were made and sold for $1 to help Nick get the hell out of Naples. The covers were just photocopies that were folded over and stapled.

WATER RAT EXPERIMENT - ...And Still We Dance CDr SOLD OUT The WATER RAT EXPERIMENT was a short-lived, go-nowhere band that Nick and I played in. WRE played HC/PUNK with political lyrics, sung by all four members. We had some melodic parts, and on this recording was heading in the darker direction that we, or at least i, was trying for. WRE had high hopes, but not much really happened with it. We played about 5 or 6 shows in our almost 2 year existence. This cd came with a killer booklet with lyrics and writing from the band, and overall has a somber feel. The packaging on this is way better than the actual recording! Pressing Info: There were two runs of this release. The first one was of 75 copies and the 2nd was of 43 copies. All were packaged in this crazy foam-like stuff from the art store that were folded and stapled to make a sleeve, with screen prints on the front and back. The first few copies of this had a rushed, make shift booklet, and the later ones had a proper booklet. This is probably the prettiest released i have ever had a hand in.
